Ashley Golebiewski is a 20 year-old student attending Central Connecticut State University and pursuing a major in Finance with a minor in Communications. Ashley grew up in a bilingual family; her first language was Polish, so as a child it was a challenge for her to speak English. While in the ESOL program she pushed herself to learn English by seeking extra help and continually working on improving her language skills. With hard work and determination, she achieved honors in high school and became the first person in her family to attend college.
As a child of Polish immigrants she was physically and emotionally bullied. From this experience, Ashley became an advocate for an international anti-bullying organization. Through this work, she wants to share with people of all ages that it’s important to believe in yourself and love who you are including all of your imperfections because they are what make you unique.
Ashley believes one of her strongest talents is her ability to make people feel comfortable. Though some may not consider this trait a talent, she thinks it’s important to be able to make those around you feel comfortable and safe and not everyone is blessed with the skill to do so.
Two charities dear to Ashley’s heart include, “Strike Out Epilepsy” which is a fundraiser that invites bowlers from all over Connecticut in every age range to bowl in support of curing epilepsy. Also, the “Fight for Air Climb” in Hartford, was another charity Ashley enjoys working with. The Fight for Air Climb supports the American Lung Association.

Ashley Golebiewski will represent Connecticut as she competes in the 2015 Miss USA pageant that will be seen LIVE from Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Sunday, July 12th at 8/7c on NBC. The show will be held at The Baton Rouge River Center.
Should Ashley win the Miss USA Pageant, she would immediately fly from Baton Rouge to New York City to move into her new NYC apartment next to Central Park where she would live with Paulina Vega, Miss Universe 2014. As Miss USA she would travel the country working to raise awareness and funds for breast and ovarian cancer research with organizations that are champions in the fight against these diseases. Later in the year she would represent the USA in the Miss Universe Pageant.
The Miss Connecticut USA pageant is produced independently by Pageant Associates (Sanders & Associates, Inc.), under license from Miss Universe LP, L.L.L.P., which is a Donald J. Trump and NBCUniversal joint venture.
